These days CBD is everywhere! You can buy it in dispensaries and drug stores or at your local bar and corner store. You can eat it, smoke it, drink it, or slather it on your skin. And when thinking about CBD oil, the first place that comes to mind is San Diego.

San Diego City is one of the most preferred places in the US for all things related to CBD, such as CBD oil. CBD in San Diego is growing in popularity and has blown up the market already, with 16% of its young people using the compound as a drug of choice.

The health benefits of CBD are many, as it is a better alternative to THC. Once you start talking about CBD with anyone, some objections may come up about CBD’s legality or the difference between THC and CBD.

So, what is right? Is CBD in San Diego legal yet? The answer depends on various factors. Federal and state laws are at odds against each other. That’s why CBD is legal in most states, but there are exceptions to the rule as well.

Over a few years, San Diego has developed local laws while authorizing cannabis businesses within the City limits. Here’s a quick look at them.

How Are Cannabis Outlets Regulated in San Diego?

The outlets are responsible for selling cannabis products and cannabis accessories to the public. However, there are a few restrictions as well

    • There are only 36 outlets in Citywide, a maximum of four per Council District.
    • They must be located 1,000 ft from churches, childcare centers, playgrounds, libraries, minor-oriented facilities, residential care facilities, and schools.
    • Outlets must be located 100 ft away from any residential zone.
    • They must comply with SDMC Section Chapter 4, Article 2, Division 15, the regulating CUP, and Federal Regulations.

    General Points to Remember

    • The delivery of Cannabis is permitted with a valid Conditional Use Permit. However, the sale or distribution for the same is prohibited at special events.
    • Nobody is allowed to grow Cannabis at their residential place.
    • No smoking is allowed in any public place or on business premises.

    Health Benefits of CBD Products

CBD in San Diego is famous for treating a wide array of health issues, including:

    • Nausea suppression
    • Pain Relief
    • Helps with Sleep and Insomnia issue
    • Helps treat those who have seizures
    • Helps relaxation
    • Wards off depression
    • Reduced Inflammation
    • Promoting Cardiovascular health
    • Lowers Anxiety
    • Lowers Risk of Diabetes
    • Fights Cancer cell growth

Different products are being manufactured in San Diego to treat these symptoms. Some dispensaries on Lakeside, Bonita, Del Mar, Miramar, and surrounding neighborhoods deliver the products to your doorstep.

Are CBD Products Tested in San Diego?

In San Diego, the CBD is lab-tested to retain the top quality and the permitted cannabidiol and THC levels. Most of the products are sold through physical stores or dispensaries. But, they need third-party testing according to BCC regulations. Sometimes, you may get to know that products have been tampered with or are not up to the standard.

Always ensure you have done your research thoroughly to have a clear idea.
