    Use water sports to improve your fitness.

    Summer is a great time to be active outdoors, and what better way to do it than in the water? Whether you are a beginner or an experienced water sports enthusiast, we have all the information you need to get started. In this blog post, we take a look at four popular water sports (kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and sailing) and give you some tips on how to get fit with each sport. Go!

    Kayak

    Kayaking is a great sport which is having fun outdoors. Perfect for all ages and abilities, it can be enjoyed in both calm and windy waters. Lake or river before venturing onto more challenging waterways. You will of course need a kayak and the best inflatable kayak perfect for beginners. You’ll also need a paddle and life jacket, and we recommend taking a few lessons before venturing out on your own.

    Canoeing

    Canoeing is another great way to stay active in the great outdoors. It is perfect for groups or families and can be enjoyed in both calm and fast waters. If you are new to canoeing, we recommend starting on a calm lake or river before moving on to more challenging waterways. The things you need to start canoeing are

    • a canoe
    • life jackets
    • oars
    • a map of the area where you will be canoeing
    • Binoculars for spotting wildlife when you are away from home.

    When buying your first canoe, choose a wide and stable canoe. This makes it harder to tip over and easier to control.

    Swimming

    Swimming is a great way to get fit without leaving the comfort of your own backyard or pool. Swimming is an excellent cardiovascular workout and also tones your muscles without putting too much pressure on your joints. As a beginner, start with swimming for five minutes at a time and gradually work your way up to longer sessions.

    Sailing

    There are many different types of sailing, from power boats to large cruise ships.If you’re interested in getting fit through sailing, there are a few things to consider. First, you’ll need to join a boating club or take a few lessons so you can learn the basics and stay safe on the water. Once you get the hang of it, sailing is a great full body workout, especially the core and upper body.

    There are many great ways to keep fit outdoors, and water sports are a great option for those who want to enjoy the scenery while exercising. Canoeing, swimming and sailing are great options that can be enjoyed by people of all fitness levels. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and start exploring!
